I'm Aishina Shaffer, and I'm a journalist, communicator, and designer based out of Washington, D.C.

I graduated cum laude from West Virginia University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. There, I majored in strategic communications, with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in interactive design for media. I graduated from American University in 2021 with a master’s degree in in Journalism and Digital Storytelling.

I'm passionate about immersive storytelling, social justice, arts education and brand communications. I've got experience with a wide range of Adobe products, graphic design, web design and development, photography, videography, social media strategy, academic recruitment, and 360 video production.

In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, reading, fiction writing, traveling, listening to podcasts and exploring the applications of new media. I’m currently a Communications Manager at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
